Testing Facebook Connect Module on Drupal North Carolina

Hi All I decided to give the facebook connect module an install on Drupal North Carolina.

Not quite sure how it will fly with those already registered and who have facebook accounts, you may be able to find and add the application on your face book page using this link.

Then you SHOULD be able to navigate to this website and not have to log in. Though it may try to force you to create a new account. If it does let me know. And you should just be able to refresh the page and be logged in.

Give it try. We'll help iron out the kinks.

Img Filter installed

Steve and uploaded some images but I had failed to include a module for handling.

I did a quick install of IMG File Filter (http://drupal.org/project/img_filter) a no longer maintained module that I had used on previous sites. (The perils of using Drupal and open source software).

It will hold until we decide on something much better.

Drupal Administration Menu

http://drupal.org/project/admin_menu

After our Meet Up on November 6th I installed the "Drupal Administration Menu" module on one of my sites.

This is a GREAT module! The floating admin menu across the top is simply great. It was love at first sight.

Thanks goes to Julia for recommending this module!

Updates to Drupal North Carolina

Hi All,

I have added the Advance Forums Module and a Test Topic.

We should make a decision relatively soon about whether users want to use the Forum as the primary place to talk or get help to whether we want to use a blogs style approach with comments.

I enabled blogs so user can now make blog entries. I used taxonomy to create some basic blog organization, basically around 1) a general blog topic, 2) whether you are seeking or offering help or a suggestion, and 3) the drupal version in question.

Welcome Fellow North Carolina Drupalers (basics of setting up this site from scratch).

Hi everyone,

So those from the meet-ups and gatherings now have a place to learn, teach and come together online. Also a place we can come to find quick links to great Drupal Community Resources.

We will use this site to connect but also the site itself will be a training ground and its development and growth will provide the opportunity for our members to practice and learn everything from uploading modules, theming, and all that jazz.
